Landing Page Templates Perfect for Indie Games

The era of spending hours coding a custom landing page for your game is over. Now-a-days you can find thousands of landing page templates that take less than five minutes to set up and $10 to buy. And with your newly acquired knowledge on what to look for in terms of landing page design (ahem, ahem…please read my last post), choosing the right one should be a cinch. But, to make your job a little easier, I went ahead and listed my 10 favorite landing page templates below.

Emmy’s Top 10 Landing Page Templates

Electron

Possibly one of my favorite landing page templates in the lot, Electron is perfect for the iPhone indie developer. For just $9 you get a responsive design (works any device), social share links, video support, working email subscription and more. Oh Electron, you sure are a handsome one.

Golanding

This fella is just right for developers building any kind of game. With no iPhone specific graphics, Golanding is versatile. And at the low price of $8, he’s got a whole lot of bang for his buck. Golanding comes with two color schemes to choose from, video support, lightbox galeries, PSD files and more.

Stitched

Stitched is another theme perfect for developers building any kind of game. I love simple landing page templates like this: it’s compact, yet gets the job done. Stiched’s only downfall is its lack of video support, which it makes up with a working subscription form, a beautiful slider, image gallery and more. Oh yeah, it’s only $7.

Polar

On the other side of website landing page templates, we have Polar. Polar is a long-page format landing page, meaning users scroll a lot! This is not a bad thing. The act of scrolling can actually provide a much more engaging experience for the user…as long as you have great content to scroll through. And with its plethora of showcase devices, Polar enables any user to make his or her content sing. At $9 this guy is on the high side of the landing page template price range, but well worth it.

Energy App is just $8.

With its in-your-face graphic design, bold text and contrasting color scheme, Hardboiled is not to be ignored. To boot, this landing page template is chock-a-block full of features, including Google Maps support. Pretty sweet for only $8.

Hi Emmy, Name's Andre, indie game producer from Indonesia. Is it in HTML or WP?

Hi Andre, thanks for the comment. This particular design is in neither, it's just a design of an optimal template. However, this could easily be coded from scratch or found in/modified from a WordPress template. Thanks!

I spent a lot of time looking for a way to create a landing page with minimal effort and found this universal template http://justpx.com/just-lp-free-wordpress . I hope you’ll find my comment helpful. What do you think about this template?

Hi Emma, thanks for sharing this link. The landing page template looks pretty nice, but I think it's missing a bit of features to show off a game. For instance, I can't tell if it can support a video, or has a carousel for screenshots, or places to put social sharing buttons, etc. If you're a sophisticated enough developer, perhaps you could add spaces for that in the CSS and code, but if not, there are other landing pages that might be more suitable. Either way, it's a good page to know about.
