marketing speaker Emmy Jonassen

Indie Game Marketing Speaker

In addition to my consulting work, I’m available as a marketing speaker and can speak on a variety of topics—all intended to help independent game developers successfully market their games. These topics include: market research, positioning, effective marketing content creation (trailer video, screenshot), blogging, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), landing page optimization, public relations and more.

While I’ve spoken to crowds of tens to hundreds around the world, I am not a professional marketing speaker. I’m a marketing professional who focuses on providing attendees with actionable advice to improve their marketing as soon as they leave my lectures.

If you’re looking for a marketing speaker to present at your next a trade show, conference, class lecture or other event, please fill out the form to the right to get in touch.

Marketing Keynote Presentation Example

Here is my keynote from Konsoll, an event in Bergen, Norway dedicated to the advancement of Norwegian indies. It’s a good example of my speaking style and presentation content.

Testimonials

Emmy Jonassen has been an invaluable resource for our game developers conference, Konsoll. She has come to give talks and workshops three years in a row and always delivers with rave reviews. Emmy has a talent for packaging relatively complicated material that is highly relevant for all game developers with enthusiasm and clarity. Her understanding of marketing and the digital gaming market is outstanding. We feel so lucky to have Emmy as a speaker at Konsoll and we all feel so much wiser and determined after attending one of her talks. Emmy also has a charisma and attitude that welcomes comments and discussion. She’s an approachable and smart woman who we value very much!
– Linn Søvig, Project Manager, Norwegian Resource Center for Game Development and Co-Founder, Konsoll

Emmy Jonassen addressed my retailing class (Boston College, Carroll School of Management) as a guest expert in marketing, spring semester, 2014. She was superb. She presented case studies from her marketing experience, providing an impressive amount of valuable information in a compelling format. She is engaging and genuine, very professional, yet accessible–a perfect combination. Our business students are a critical lot, and they were highly positive about her presentation. I recommend her wholeheartedly, and in fact, have invited her back to speak to my classes in the next academic year.
– Kathleen Seiders, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing, Boston College

Emmy recently spoke to my Senior Seminar class about what she does professionally and how she got there. The class was made up of Graphic Design and Studio majors, and listening to Emmy was invaluable for them. She is smart, highly motivated and creative in the ways in which she designs and markets her products. Over the years she has had a range of experiences which all feed into the work that she now does. I’m so glad that my students had this opportunity- it was truly inspiring!
– Laurie Alpert, Professor of Fine and Applied Arts, Curry College
